I have not been on here for a long time, mainly because I got discouraged with peoples lack of interest in something I have found super helpful. Its called sski or potassium iodide. It has been years since I have had a exacerbation. I have nothing to gain by turning people on to this except the satisfaction of being helpful. Its like anything else that is not main steam. Just put sski in your browser and you should get to a place that sells it. Its very cheap. About $3.00 for a little bottle. And one only uses a few drops. If you need more info just let me know. When I first got on oxygen, because I had emphysema, I had a number of exacerbations and of course used antibiotics and predazone. until I discovered sski.. Its been years since I have had any problems..
I cannot take it because of my CHF every heart medication I take is on their Major Drug Interactions list and not in a good way.
While I'm here can I ask if you've tried percussive therapy? I'm trying to get the doctor to prescribe for my dad to see if it stops the fluid build up.
