I have chronic rhianitis , which is miss spelled, and seasonal allergies, which means I stay miserable for longer than I feel good.
Copd folks have a lot of sinus problems anyway, so I will tell you what I have done, and maybe something there will help you.
First, always check the pollen and mold count on the weather before you go out, and if you HAVE to go out, wear a good mask.
rotate the allergy meds, because your body gets use to one after a while. Zyrtec D has the real sudafed in it, but is bad to bring up your blood pressure. I use regular zyrtec, and then mucinex D which has an expectorant and thins out the mucus. Drink lots of water and gatoraide. Keep in contact with your doctor, especially on raising your lpm on the oxygen. Hope you feel better soon...
Brenda
with a lil benedryl if it is real bad.
i am soooo dry with the emphysema that if i get too dried out i can't cough up anything.
my dr said for me not to use anything with a cough suppressant.
as for a cure i don't think so, but last summer i had to switch to a/c instead of swamp coolers that bring in outside air & i keep all my windows & doors = that helped me alot, but i sure miss opening my windows at night :(
I also have been taking singula 10mg at bedtimer for past 3-4 years.
And no I am not selling it! =)
