I'm guessing the vast majority of us on this forum take spiriva. A lot of our inhaled medications make us hoarse. Perhaps others will have suggestions, but the only thing I know to do is gargle after using the med.

I am on it. and advair...Susan said it right...if its bothersome...Gargle...

Yes they us hoarse. Make sure you rinse and gargle after using the inhalers.

When I first started using Spriva I was hoarse, but not so much now. I think the side effects with me at least lessened.Always rinse your mouth and gargle.

I use Symbicort ....just started 2 months ago...and it has been
helpful. Sometimes I'll get a "frog" but nothing too much.
I do rinse and gargle with water after each use.

Any one else on Symbicort?

I too use spiriva (and symbicort). Hoarseness with me comes and goes. I'm testing out a spray for the throat, but so far I have no idea if it is effective. What rouses my curiosity is that the directions on the sprayer indicate squirt to back of mouth OR squirt into nose i..e. "You can access the upper throat more efficiently by spraying into the nostril while sniffing in." I'm also trying to get good at gargling.

Spiriva has never made me hoarse, but Advair does. Been on both 10+ years. Rinse after Advair always. Never after Spiriva. Actually, the hoarseness is not as bad with the generic Advair I get from ADC (and I still have a few dollars in my pocket!!) :-))

I'm on both spiriva, and symbicort. Don't notice the hoarseness..but I've always gotten hoarse, especially in the morning too, partially due to allergies.

I am on symbicort too and that probably adds to the voice changes.
