Many COPD'ers have nocturnal hypoxemia as the disease progresses even if they don't have sleep apnea.
If your having difficulty with sleep despite all the recommendations to improve sleep, it might be worth having a sleep saturation or a sleep study done.
Article didn't mention it, but a good mattress can make all the difference, too.
So I dont' know which one does that.
But since being put on a different med lately it has help me...no it isn't a sleeping aide.
My husband is on a sleep aide.
My husband likes to use me for his reasons......but I ask him this week if he tells eveyrone it's my fault then would he like to move to the spare room......he said no....and is telling a different story now.
We all have some type of story why we don't sleep....getting up to go to the bathroom several times a night.....is another one.

naw! any time i put my head down...i can be out! and sleep thru almost anything. so, i think i'm ok. (in case anyone was staying awaking worrying about me! hehe)
