I just saw my Pulm. yesterday. We decided that I should add Singulair into the mix for a while.

Does anybody have any experience with this drug that they can share with me.

My environmental allergies are off the chart and he feels the could help.

yes gary....I take singular/montelukast/zycast every day 10mg..it was really for asthma allergies...it did have some bad press re suicidal stuff some years back....

really no idea if it works but then im not sure what works except pred lol...

I have been on it for a long time for my Asthma, it works for me, have not had any problems with it. Happy it went Generic.

I've been on it since it first came out some 10/12 years ago. Seems to help a lot with the allergies and asthma and has few to no side effects. I like it a lot.

I've been on it for years for asthma and allergies. Works for me. Haven't noticed any side effects.

I have been taking that for about 10 years. It has helped me. Hope it helps you, Just make sure you take it the same time everyday. Thats what my doctor told me.

I was put on i a couple of months ago. I was tested recently for allergens. I have none that I know of, but I have had a huge change in my breathing. Much better. I can't say for sure what has happened in my case but I would definitely try it! As for psych issues that gwapo mentioned, I have had none. Nancy

Thanks again for the input. I have been on it for a couple of days now and I feel a real difference.

I have always had asthma and allergies, but they never bothered me until a couple of years ago.

If my COPD is 80% asthma/allergies and 20% emphysema than that would be a good thing.

Gary, my PCP put me on it years ago for asthma symtoms and somewhere along the way after I was diagnosed with emphysema, it got dropped.

Because I am super sensitive to pollens and other airborne irritants, I recently asked the doctor to put me back on it and It has made a difference for me.
