Well as you can see from my picture I finally broke down and wore my 02 at work today. The predisolme is helping but I can barely walk from my car to the door.
Wearing my 02 at work wasn't as bad as I thought. My customers commented but not negatively. They didn't make me feel decrepit.
I am going to have to do something about this anxiety. Now that I know that an upset can trigger an attack I'm afraid that something will set me off again. Life is full of upsets and right now it wouldn't take much for me to go back into a full blown attack even on the predisolme.
Speaking of the pred. I called to be retested by my allergist so I can begin my 2nd year of allergy shots that have helped tremendously with my muscle.....well, they can't test me for 6 weeks because of the pred. I am so afraid I will start drowning in my own muscle again.
Hard to believe this time last week I felt almost like a normal person. Now I fit the description of disabled.....how frustrating!

Good on you for taking your o2 to work. I am really happy to hear it went better than you expected.
Yes you need to be clean of prednisone before they can do tests. So hang in there, you will make it. you have taken the first step....

i live in a small town also, and i have been surprised that by my wearing 02 how many people ask me about it because they are supposed to be wearing 02 & are to afraid what others will think to wear it.
my mom always said, ''be a trend setter, not a trend follower"---maybe you wearing yours will give others the guts to wear theirs.
i am amazed at how many people are on 02 & dont wear it, but when they see me out with mine ask me about it and "the purse" i converted to carry it in so i didn't have to carry the 02 & a purse.
ps. i always know, when someone says, "can i ask you a personal question" LOL
you'll be amazed now that you wear yours how many 02'ers are out there!!!
I am very hardheaded and proud.
