After my xrays at the ER Saturday I'm still waiting to know what happened. Finally on Wed. I will have a appt. with my PCP and can see about that ungodly pain I believe to be pleuracy. It has gotten better and can be managed with ibupropium but I want to see my lung xray. The Dr never shows me any films....just talks. I want to see the area where I must have gotten muel kicked.
My husband insists that I only take the lorazepam only when I feel anxious. Is that how its done? How does one know when they could encounter something that upsets them and is gonna cause an attack? Right now I am on day 2 of them and aside form a bit sleepy I feel great! I don't give 2 sh#$s and a popcicle about anything. No anxious thoughts about breathing at all.

Because I do suffer from panic attacks I have been taking Clonazepam for many years. I have never had the urge to up my medication, on the odd occassion when I have not been able to take it, I have suffered no undue effects except difficulty sleeping.
You might want to talk to your doctor about meds which do the same thing but are not as addictive.

SSRI endings (generic remember) are;

and so forth.
the main point i'd like to make though is that a person should not
start or stop taking any drug without checking with your dr.
anti-depressants (SSRI's) should never be "quit suddenly" any more than anti-anxiety meds.
i really had to get in my head that there is a big difference between "addiction" and "abuse"---big difference!!
many meds are "addictive" and have to be withdrawn from if quitting.
for example high blood pressure medicine; you can't just quit taking that & have to have dr "withdrawal" to get off; its addictive & look at all the people that take that without ever questioning the "addictive" side of it.

It's just easier on your whole system I think...
