The recent squabbling on this board reminds me of my grandmother who is now in heaven most likely giving the Lord, the angels, and anyone else she encounters up there a piece of her mind. She was stern and a tad bit prickly at times but her heart was always in the right place and she was the first to offer help where it was needed.
That being said she would be shaking her head and tapping her foot at what's been happening here. I can hear her now .....
If you don't like what someone posts .... stop reading it. There's no test in the morning on what was posted. "Just ignore it and move on."
If someone has a negative response to what you post ... so what???? That's the chance you take when you post. Bottom line, they are entitled to their opinion just as you are to yours, so "don't get your knickers in a twist and stomp off the playground" (or in this case the board).
This board is "usually" full of love, support, and good information. Right now we have some people who are really suffering and need every bit of support and love we can provide. Let's get back to that and "stop sweating the small stuff."
I'm going to leave you with one final Grannyism that we always heard as kids when we weren't getting along. "If you can't play right, then don't play at all." I'm not sure it makes a lot of sense but for some reason it always worked!

Shells, Thanks for that grannyisms. That I almost what I was saying, that we need to get back to supporting people,and to welcoming new folks to our group.
I was not planning on answering, because I am on my way out, but you make a good point.
JoannePB, We are like a family here, and like in any family we squabble and complain. It usually works it way out, so please do not think we are this way all the time.
Come on in and meet the rest of the group. It is a collection of different people and different opinions, so ask any questions you may have, or just vent, or talk. Someone on here will help you out.

Happy to hear from you, Peter. Although I wasn't a fan of your most recent post I have enjoyed and learned from many of your previous ones so I hope you don't stay away too long. I found this Board when you were in the midst of trying to return to Australia and seeing how supportive and encouraging everyone was is one of the reasons I stayed. Even though I didn't know you I worried about you and your family during and after the hurricane, as did so many on this board.
That's the real DS Family so hopefully we can all put our differences aside and get back to that.
I can understand why you, and others, feel the need to take a break from time to time. You all have enough to deal with without added stress from disagreements in cyber world. Selfishly I just hope they are short breaks because I really miss you guys and gals when you're gone.
