Shells, Thanks for that grannyisms. That I almost what I was saying, that we need to get back to supporting people, and to welcoming new folks to our group.
I was not planning on answering, because I am on my way out, but you make a good point.
JoannePB, We are like a family here, and like in any family we squabble and complain. It usually works it way out, so please do not think we are this way all the time.
Come on in and meet the rest of the group. It is a collection of different people and different opinions, so ask any questions you may have, or just vent, or talk. Someone on here will help you out.
BJ
good words from granny.
i hope we can all have our own opinions & not have to have some huge melt down drama if we disagree on something.
i think we can be 'big kids' and agree or disagree, then shake hands pull up our "knickers" & go back to playing.
my opinion only.
" Really, seriously....where in your head did you think this was appropriate for this board or any board other than the "Good old boys sexists, racial & religious make fun of and bully board" ? Incredibly offensive on a myriad of levels."
or.and this one does not really bother me cos its not directed at me...'It is nothing Bad, it is just not funny and suited more for a child. Strange sense of humor.
Maybe that is just an Aussie thing? Love you my brother...
and then congratulate all those that were unimpressed as well, makes it not so much a comfortable place to share without expecting a big stick to be wielded...I have no psychic ability to read people's minds.
This is the only reason I decided not to post anymore or for now....Just thought id reply which I wasn't going to and prob should not have....
Peter
Happy to hear from you, Peter. Although I wasn't a fan of your most recent post I have enjoyed and learned from many of your previous ones so I hope you don't stay away too long. I found this Board when you were in the midst of trying to return to Australia and seeing how supportive and encouraging everyone was is one of the reasons I stayed. Even though I didn't know you I worried about you and your family during and after the hurricane, as did so many on this board.
That's the real DS Family so hopefully we can all put our differences aside and get back to that.
I can understand why you, and others, feel the need to take a break from time to time. You all have enough to deal with without added stress from disagreements in cyber world. Selfishly I just hope they are short breaks because I really miss you guys and gals when you're gone.
Shells
strikes me as a vicious person that would knowingly try to upset
any one else here.
It's sad that any of us should feel we have to leave because of what another thinks..... Better to take a break if need be.
Grandma is wise.
