The new pulmnologist I saw last week has added another noxious potion to my daily meds. It is an oral medicine called DAILIRESP. I am on day 6 of using it and I believe it has eliminated the mucous plugs I used to get in my bronchia. Now it is more like I get a frog in my throat that I can pretty easily clear whereas when I had the mucous plugs I used to almost die because no air could get down and I had to use my nebulizer quick.
Has anyone else tried DAILIRESP? The only downfall so far seems to be that none of my insurance wants to pay for my prescription.

all meds have side effects & i try to pick the medicines that the benefits outweigh the bad effects.
my PCP prescribed me daliresp in 2012 when i 1st went to him.
I looked it up on the computer & never filled that prescription because I have emphysema, not bronchitis & the list of side effects scared the hell out of me so i chose not to take that one.
now i'm really glad I skipped that one! :)
I assume with Daliresp having the lawsuits that not many insurance companies will pay for that medication.

I am also recovering from a recent exacerbation & the past 2 days I have been coughing up mucus plugs like never before.
I'm not sure what has caused this as I haven't changed or added any new medications.
perhaps it is because i'm really focusing on keeping hydrated & that is what is moving them?
Or maybe this last bug just caused excess gunk that is now coming up.
what ever it is, i just wanted to share that I am coughing up lots of mucus plugs without the daliresp so it might just be coincidence?

I didn't know libraries have internet now days & will share that info. with a couple of friends that i have that can't afford internet either :)

I do not mean to give up...not in a long shot as my Snowy needs me alive and alert enough to fulfill my responsibility towards his welfare....He gives me back ten fold what i give him...
I am deeply troubled also with so many passing....not only here but other's at different Support Groups...
