As I've written about, my dad is awaiting a PET scan to test a nodule. (It's on Monday.... Say a prayer for him)
Due to this, and against my better judgement, I've been doing quite abit if reading up on lung cancer, lung disease, research, charities, etc.
Is COPD more common the lung cancer???
It seems it is. Am I correct?
In that case, seeing as it's fairly common, why is there little public awareness? Fundraising campaigns?
No one knows about it. (In Canada at least)

is it just that they have found cures for lung cancer so it is less prevalent now.
it used to be that lung cancer was the big scare because ther was no cure
now COPD is the scary one because there is no cure.
new awareness will hopefully and will cause more public awareness & thus more fundraising campains
