Hi Everyone,
I've been battling with relapsing into smoking, so tonight was the last one.
I am going to use the E cig, not for very long, as my Dr has told me it causes CANCER! But, it seems like nowadays, everything causes it. My cardiologist said to stop using Splenda, it causes cancer, to use Truvia...so i am getting Truvia, which is more expensive, but i'm trying to make changes for a healthier me.
My O2 sat's have been 96-98 all this week. That's on 2 liters. So, i guess i'm doing something right.
I also take off my oxygen if i'm in my bedroom, to go to the bathroom, or at night i take the bipap off, cause have to, LOL...can't walk away connected, it will fall off my nightstand!
So, i would come back into my room this week, after not having my O2, and test myself, and after a few minutes of O2, my sat would go right to 97 or 98!
I'm feeling better, and losing weight and trying to exercise. I lost my Visiting Nurse services yesterday. Yup, I cried...I have to wait now until my Medicaid gets approved. But, i'm pushing thru and trying to stay positive, even though I'm alone here, taking care of the household stuff and me, while Mom is in the hospital.
Mom still is getting rid of her pneumonia, but now she has a contagious infection, so they moved her to a private room. My poor Mom...she has been thru so much, but she sounds more like herself, and tonight she was telling me how proud she was of me, for sticking to my healthy diet, and how i'm really trying to get healthy!
oK, I KNOW I babbled, but had to share what's been going on. I'm still not sleeping straight thru, but have my sleep apnea testing this coming Thursday, so hopefully their recommendations will help me get a longer and more restful night of sleep.

interesting the e cig thing.
my dr told me they were fine & i could smoke those the rest of my life if i wanted.
now so many people are going to them, i just saw a thing on the utah news last night that since they can't outlaw them (they think they are a bad influence for kids to see) they are going to try to put an 80cent tax on the filters.
my prayers are with ya...you are doing great & that is fantastic on your O2 !!!!!
funny thing about whats good for us with dr's --- i used to tell my sister that everything i went to the dr about was because i smoked and everything she went to the dr about was because she was overweight.
i DID tell my dr that;
1. i've given up drinking
2. i've given up smoking
3. i've given up sex (and marriage ;)
4. don't even go for my chocolate or coffee unless you want me postal!!!!

I sure hope you get the sleep issue fixed.........SOON:):)
