i don't always feel SOB with low #'s & sometimes i feel SOB & my #'s are fine...sometimes i just feel like my legs get weak & i'm going to faint & i will see my #'s have dropped to high 70's.
just because i check my #'s doesn't mean i'm sitting here checking every time i move or every 5 minutes, but i think anyone who has to be on 02 should have a oximeter until they "get the hang" of when & where they need to use it (unless, like you, the pulm said to turn it to 2lpm & wear it 24/7)
i don't like dragging a hose around the house & having my nose ripped off my face so i have a tendency to do exact opposite of what i should; but my dr pointed out how just going to the bathroom drops my #'s so i'm aware of it now LOL.
of course where i was at 4 years ago compared to today has changed to where i should wear it all the time like you, i just hate it so much maybe i check my #'s now "in hopes." (oximeter=denial killer?)
another # that i think everyone should know is their sleeping #'s. it was a sleep study for apnea that found i dropped to 78% at night 4 years ago before ever being diagnosed with COPD & i was put on 2LPM at night.....
i just had sleep study done the other night (hey, it was free & it's been 4 years)---it showed that i am staying above 90% & no apnea wearing my 02 at 2LPM---so i know that is still good & i don't need to up my LPM, was good news to me :).
in the mean time i got a little housework (very little) done & i totally understand sunny5368 do a little, resting a little---methinks it's the COPD as i seem to need to sit a whole lot more now days; of course the better shape i am in the better/more i can do before i have to sit.
btw; i don't know if i "officially" welcomed you to our site, but welcome :)
