I talked with my Mom today, and she matter of factly says, Oh, they took me off my oxygen yesterday.
I was SOOO excited!! I told her, "Mom, that is so wonderful"....
She has COPD/Emp, and had 2 rounds of pneumonia since she's been in the hospital for the last 2 months. She also had the hematoma in her abdomen, and recently got C-Diff infection.
They said the C-Diff should resolve itself in about a week. Other than that, i think once she's clear from that infection...she may be on her way out to rehab!!
Just an update, as I know you've all been so supportive of our health issues, and I finally have good news about Mom!!! She's also eating alot better, and her attitude is great!
Ok, its 4:23am, and i haven't gone to sleep yet. Just one of those nights...i'm going to sleep land now, i'm beat!

So, great news....BUT...I get a phone call from the nurse yesterday, saying Mom was getting up with a nurse to go to the chair or the commode or whatever, and her legs gave out, and she sunk slowly to the floor..Nurse should have been there to prevent it, and she was there, but must not had been watching close enough.
Mom complained of hip soreness, so they were going to send her for an x ray last night. She wasn't in excruiating pain, but we'll see how the xray turns out.
Seems like she takes 2 steps forward, and then something happens, that sets her one step back.
I'm going to be positive though..she sounds in good spirits.
Boo (oh..it's 445am, LOL)!!!
You sleep like I do. Go to bed at 10 or 11 up at 2 back down and up again around 5. It can drive you crazy.
