As suggested, might want to let your doc know for most times another can be substituted.
I agree our bodies can react differently. Deb's can tolerate Levaquin whereas I had an adverse reaction. I can take Spiriva but not Advair - too many side effects.
Taking an anti-biotic daily does seem to be the new thing. Don't know that I would though. I'd be concerned my body would build up a tolerance to it or my immune system would be compromised even further
Hope you feel better soon!

Funny Spariva makes my breathing much worse, and Advair does nothing.
none of the breathing meds seem to help me at all.
i have tried almost all of them and even the abutarol seems to have no effect on helping my breathing anymore.
That is why I am trying alternative medicine, such as DMSO, H202,
MSM, and next is the glutathione.
I figure I will get better or die faster trying.
When you read about treatment trials like Retinoic acid.
AKA ATRA that uses stem cells to rebuild lung av sacks,
and the FDA pulls the plug on it i have to wonder if the FDA is really on our side.
Funny when hear all the side affects of some meds you have to wonder is it really worth it? you may be better off dealing with your
problem another way. Some allergy meds can cause death..
I think id rather sneeze alot.
Sorry all I guess I'm just venting..
Thanks for the reply's though. always good to hear other opinions.
I won't or refuse to take something that makes me worse. I do sometimes if press will promise as they wish to try it. But I do have lots of problems with med's. I had one not too long ago when I was in the hospital again and they had to give me something fast to stop what was happening to me....long story...
But then there are those med's I have to take and I have side effects but then there isn't any other pill available for my neuropathy that will help me except one that causing problems.
so I guess you do or don't which one is worse the pain or living with pain and having side effects?
I do have had that zpack and they didnt' do a thing for me...I then was put on more antibonics and if I know the ER doctors wants to give me one I say no way ho say...or the PA in my doctors office...who should know better by my records you think.
so you got to be watchful on many fronts....if you are like me having problems
I had a lot of those pneumonias and that is one reason I have scare tissue causing me problems today. I understand where you are coming from is all.
I know I am coming down by having a sore throat it seems it goes strenght to my lungs now. it is scary
I wish you well...thank you for you comments I learn a lot from them.
See for me reading I can't remember always what I read I have to re read over n over...I have a learning disability....and I don't remember what I read all of it...then other times I do.
So I like you bring up subjects it helps me more then you all know. thank you very much.
Yes Deslexica (mis spell)
I do believe I am getting a little better. However another week will tell the real story. Got out yesterday and did some yard work.
Boy did it feel good to get out in the sunshine and see the
world from my front yard instead of bedroom window.
Looking toward a better tomorrow. Keep up the fight and never give up everyone.
