Mall Walking

Sue told me about Mall Walking a few years ago and she was right, its great!

Enclosed shopping malls are excellent for enjoyable walking exercise in any weather.

I go at least once a week to walk.

It makes me feel good and I dont have to be out side in this awful heat to enjoy a good walk.

They have benches if you need to stop and rest,and if you want a treat, well take your pick of many they have to offer.

Most malls also have drinking water available, and also bathrooms near by.

Take a friend along, its fun and good for you too.

I put my little dog, Lily, into her stroller and we walked around the mall for at least one hour....I recommend this for everyone during the hot months......xoxox katie

OMG, I love mall walking, cept I have to use my scooter more these days. My hubby doesn't like it too much cause I tend to do more than meander the mall. Working on a hat collection after my shoe collection got Imelda Marcos ridiculous. Been really into fedoras. Has anyone heard of 'The Red Hat Club'? Like to start or join one. Sounds like a hoot:>) Deb

You all know I really love to mall walk. Many malls even have mall-walkers clubs, with benefits such as free blood-pressure checks, etc. My mall even had lockers where you could lock your coat and purse if you brought your own padlock. I walked at our mall for many years, but in the past year, I've had to give it up because of pollution in the parking lot. The mall is near the intersection of 2 major highways, and for me, just the short walk between the car and the mall entrance has become too much for me.

It was nice to see familiar faces there! Now, if we have to be at the mall to shop, I might do some walking, too, but I don't visit there regularly, and only if my hubby can drop me off at the door while he parks the car.

Now, I stay home and walk on a treadmill. Not a very social event, but it's still good walking.

I use to walk the mall // I would but we don't live that close to the mall from here. My husband worries about money and paying for gas.
So I can't do that unless I have a way to pay. Now I do go that way to see my plumb. (lung) doctor.

I saw him today, and he ask me about excerises....I told him I been walking up until just recently......he told me to start walking at the mall, ymca, or church...but I have to keep moving.

he wrote me some more med's......Oh my goodness I can hardly function right now....the med's or something is making me feel awful...and I fall asleep.

I wish I woudl get well to stop this. He said to me I should be tested for autom. dease / RA or and something else I can't remember what it was...no matter.....
He is giving me something if I turn out to have Lupus is what my GP is testing for....then my Plumb will up something he just gave me. I sorry too tired to think.....just got home.
