Talked to Patty Ruff, Shirley is off the vent and in a regular room after a double transplant. She is doing better but can still use prayers. :>)

Thanks Debbie. She is always on my mind and I have so much hope for her.
Hope you are dong alright. I miss the old crowd but am not up to being on the computer much so I really appreciate the updates.

Take care of yourself and let our friends know that although I am not there I do think of them often.

Thank you for the update. Prayers for such a courageous lady!
Her surgery can give hope to others in similar situations.
It's a huge step to decide to undergo such a serious surgery.
Prayers for the doctors and staff to make the right decisions in getting her well again.
Hope to see Shirley back on DS again feeling well and breathing easy.

Thanks for the update, and also agree it is good to hear from you. That is a very serious decision to make, and I know it took so much courage to have that transplant. I was almost there at one time. Prayers for Shirley, and it sounds like she is doing so much better now. It will be a long road,, but she sounds like a strong woman.

Shirley got out of the hospital & was doing very well & then the 13th of this month had to go back with infections & will have to stay onIV ant- biotics for a couple weeks, but she was moved to another facility. Like a rehab center I guess.

We heard from Shirley again last night. Her Dr. is going to let her know Aug. 1st if he's going to discharge her, but to her daughter's house as she is a nurse & they want her to fatten up. She's a spunky one :>)
