can you move or stretch your CPAP stuff to reach where you watch tv at least?
i have such a hard time falling asleep that i have my bedroom set up with my tv, recliner and bed and i could live in there LOL
they say it is bad to watch tv before sleeping, but my eyesight is so bad reading a book is no longer fun.
BUT I wear my O2 while i watch tv LOL
i don't know if this will make you feel any better, but you will get more "adapted" to your son being gone and if watching tv helps then what the heck, watch it....just put on your CPAP before you get too comfy :)
Take care girl,

Best wishes to you on remembering your CPAP. I wish you a very restful, peaceful sleep. Blessings.
I only have one outlet next to my bed that works, but wouldn't you know it's on the opposite side of the TV. The flexi hose that runs from the machine to my mask isn't very long. It's just long enough for me to turn over, so maybe I can request a longer one. Bill, I always thought if you used the 45 degree wedge, then you wouldn't need the CPAP because it would keep your throat from collapsing. Is that incorrect?
Last night I turned off the TV and used my CPAP, even though I didn't enjoy it half as much as falling to sleep with the TV on. Again, thanks for your encouragement everyone! This is the best group EVER!
At our age and our condition.....do what comforts us!!!

drinkcoffee- most people go into their deepest sleep in the early am ; maybe that is why it scares you, but we do need our REM sleep as it keeps our minds and memories going (obviously, with my lousy memory i need much more REM sleep LOL)
my problem is falling asleep; it seems i don't fall asleep until 3-4 am, and then i want to sleep until noon! i guess like a baby i'm getting my nights & days mixed up.
i do know just laying in the dark trying to sleep does nothing but get me frustrated, so i watch tv until i finally start dozing offf & then i shut it off cuz the commercials are always so much louder they wake me up LOL
