I have chronic backaches which are mostly muscular because I use my accessory muscles to breathe. Anyone on this site knows I hate pharmaceuticals so I have been using OTC aleve for pain. My PCP said aleve is the worst about tearing up the stomach so he tried to prescribe a narcotic but with 2 more years I need to work before medicare I refused so he recommended I try physical therapy to build up my flabby core muscles. I will be going twice a week for a month to see if it helps. If y'all would like I will keep you updated if I feel like it is helping.
Hard to believe that this time last month I was almost dying from an attack because I am breathing so well now. I haven't had a day off in almost a year but in August I get my annual 5 day leave and I am making plans to visit my home town Galveston island and ride ALL the rides on the new pleasure pier. I'm not sure if my husband wants to go or not but either way I am going. Might even go to the indoor schliterbahn waterpark while I'm there. When i left over 15 years ago none of these amusement parks were there. My husband says I can't climb up to the slides and yes it might take me an hour to climb up but even though I'm slower than most people I can still do the things I enjoy. I will NOT let anyone else limit my life...this rotten disease does that enough. Going back to Galveston has been my wish for several years. I long to see the house that built me again and all my memories. Sometimes I think he is jealous of my positive attitude and how hard I try not to act sickly. A healthy attitude is important with this disease.

i am so glad that you are feeling better and got your spunk back. that is wonderful. your planned trips sound so fun (just don't overdo ;) )

Just be careful at the amusement parks. Lots of rotten little kids dashing about and running people over.
As far as the rugrats.....who cares although I might have to fight for the cat on the merry go round....they can have the horses. I'm getting an all day ride pass so I can go at whatever pace is comfortable to me.

Now about the 02 at the park....I looked up their restrictions about disability and I'm afraid they would say NO to all the fun rides if they saw the 02 so I'm just gonna keep my concentrator in my car (parked right up close with my "special" plates) and tough it out. There is no way fiesta Texas would have let me on the iron rattler had they seen my nose hose. Especially after the accident that happened in Dallas because six flags let a very obese woman ride who didn't fit into the car very well ride and on the first big turn her fat shifted and she went sailing out for the ride of her life. They are covering their butts closer now. Actually I can think of worse ways to go....sorry that probably sounds tacky but anyway i had a friend hold my concentrator .while I rode.
You are so right that on occasion this rotten disease can have its perks.
Also about the blue tags....people will break into your car to steal those....at least here in Texas.
I admire your guts to get on those rides. They scare the poop out of me
