As you know, they put emphysema and bronchitis under copd. And treat them as if they were one ailment. I do have emphysema., but I do not have bronchitis yet they give me inhalers and I just throw them away. I used to get a lung infection every couple months and they would give me antibiotics and predisone and sometimes I would end up in the hospital for a few days. I discovered sski or potassium/iodine and for three yrs I have not had a single lung infection. And as far as progressive goes, It does not appear to be happening. I am on oxygen 24/7 but the level has stayed constant for about the three yrs. At times, I can tell I am fighting something and I just add the amount of sski and in a matter of hours I am over the potential infection. It takes a bit of learning on how to use sski, and there is a small side effect but it is well worth the trouble.
