am wondering why u use it as a mouth wash?? I mean I understand abouth the antiseptic part of using it. The only time the Doc had me use it was a few times when my kids had canker sores in their mouth. And then I had to make sure they didnt swallow any of it.
The antibiotic kills bacteria and perxiod kills germs. Bacteria stays gone and germs come and go so the antiseptic is a temporary like a astringent.
At least that is my understanding not saying it is correct.

Tom, you're so cool!! Can you tell us if old time cowboys usually had to check their weapons at the door before entering the saloon??

I wasn't finished. My mom always used peroxide to 'clean' out wounds, not to kill germs or bacteria. They didn't have it when I was growing up, I'm Old As Mold, but neosporin is what I use now. Don't think I'd gargle with it though, but the dentist did give me something called 'periodox' for gum disease. It worked :>))

I agree about Tom!! I have always read his posts when he gives advice--he knows what he is talking about--as do you kaput-- you both are very generous in trying to help others-
