hand cuts

I have been getting razor like cuts on my hands lately...I think someone said at one time that the breathing meds we use thins our skin.....do any of you have this problem.....they hurt like heck...

Steroids (even low dose inhaled steroids) can cause paper-thin skin that tears easily. Even if you don't use steroids, aging also causes it.

Mine don't hurt. In fact, I'll look down at my arms or hands, see blood and wonder how the heck that happened.

Yep, it happens, I rip my skin all the time. I try to keep it moist with lotions and creams, you might try that.

I agree age, environment has a lot to do with it.

These meds and age gives us paper thin skin, but with mine I think paper is thicker. Like Boldprint, most times I look at my hands and see a bloody spot , and once I was bleeding and did not notice until I started on my computer. So it happens. If your skin is real dry, it seems to be worse because the sin can actually crack in some places. I run into things, bump into things, and probably look like I have been abused by all my bruises.

Immediately check your house for kittens.

At least that is what is causing my rash of razor cuts on my hands lately.

Working for the postal service I handle a great amount of paper and some of the ads are on very sharp paper. Also I frequently use hand sanitizer and I know that is drying. I don't know if there is any corelation but I have noticed that most of the oversized razor sharp pieces are political advertising....but anyway....I have discover a hand cream called WORKING HANDS. It is made by a company calleO'KEEFFES. It comes in a green jar and costs about $6.00 or $7.00 a jar. A bit pricey but it works for me. Who would have ever thought that paper cuts can be sooooo painful but they are.
