I finally had my Lung capacity testing today. The RT said i did pretty good.

Boy!! That took a lot out of me, breathing in, and blowing out quickly, over and over again. At one point she said, "You wanna take a break? Your face is all red"!!! Yes, Ya THINK???

She was a trip!! She was fun, and friendly, and made it a lot better having to do the testing.

So, I don't know what my levels are, but i was consistant she said, and i did really well one time, that she said Great!! Your numbers were really good that time!

She said i have to wait for the pulmonologist read the results,and then my pulmonologist will let me know what they are. Or, my pulm. dr will be able to read the results, either way.

I'm anxious to know what stage of COPD im in. I want to live my life, and live a long and healthy life. I'm hoping that my results will support my wishes!

Boo, I know what you mean about the breathing in and out thing for the test. It wears me out too! I get all red faced and have a hard time taking a breath in. I know you're going to do well. Let us know your results!

I've had 5 or 6 PFT's and have yet to get repeatable results in a test. When they tell you to put all your effort into a breath - I tell them don't expect the same amount the next time - or the time after that...

i just love when they state the obvious LOL
i'm glad you got it over with and i will be rootin for you to get good results.
when do you see your pulm next to get the results?

Good for you Boo. I hope I have the same luck tomorrow when I go in for my first PFT. Since I have already been told that I can't have coffee or any of my inhalers, I already have a dislike for it. It's supposed to take an hour and I doubt if there is any fun associated with it.

I don't have a Pulmonologist but maybe the test will tell me if I need one or not.

Boo, I have that damn test every 10 - 2 months, and I hate it not only because the results are always worst, but it leaves me feeling like death sucking on a life saver. Then they put you into that forced march LOL LOL no wonder your so beat when it's done. But like you i really like the nurse that admin's the test. I hope results make you happy. Take care, Bill

i don't now any results Jarca, dr hasn't called me to tell me, and Resp Therapist said she couldn't tell me, pulmonologist had to read the results.
