Hi!!
I just had to write and tell you all what a great evening I had tonight.
I have NO CLUE why, I never tried to do more things, with my COPD, and my arthritis, but I will tell you..I was pretty much housebound, for 2 yrs, before I met Val.
She has given me a new lease on my life!!
She called, last minute on the phone, and said "Hey, how about a date, and we go to the movies"?
Now, I have to tell you all, I have NOT been to the movies in about 8 years, and always afraid I will be uncomfortable, or not fit in one of the seats etc...I 've always shyed away from it.
So, she picks me up, and then we go to dinner @ 5 Guys Hamburger Joint. It's this great place that has really juicy, fattening burgers (stuff I will NOT be able to have in a bout 2 months)..and really good fries too!
We ate, then hightailed it off to the mall for the movie. I had my cane..and as you know i'm off oxygen during the day. So, I walked quite a ways to get into the mall, up this long ramp. I looked at her, and then just took a nice deep, cleansing breath and walked....
We got up to the top and I stopped to catch my breath . She said, "WOW, you did so good" Just look, not much further.
So we go in, and come to find out..the theatre is on the totally other side of the mall! We spotted cUSTOMER SERVICE, Val went and got me a scooter, (free at the mall), and we booked up to the theatre. We saw "WORLD WAR Z " With Brad Pitt, in 3 D !!!
Not only have I not been to the movies with the nice comfy chairs, and high backs, but I have never seen a 3D movie! So, with our 3D glasses, we sat for 2 hours...( I fidgeted ALOT towards the end, cause I was in pain for sitting so long)....IT was a great movie!!
Then she ended up going across the whole mall to the car, and then picking me up, right near where we dropped off the scooter and we went home, she bought me a hazelnut coffee, and her a drink, and we came home.
It was so wonderful!! She does push me to do it, and keep going, and push thru the pain.
It was a wonderful date night, and i'm still smiling, and feel lucky to live my life now, rather than watch it blow by..and. thankful I have such a loving and caring and supportive woman as my partner, in my life!!
Got home, and my O2 was 90...not too bad for getting a lot of exercise!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
SO now I can go out on the deck in the mornings, and have my coffee and enjoy the morning outside!! Very thoughtful ...she's always thinking of me!

i was just thinking that i haven't gone to a walk in movie in years----last time my feet stuck to the floor from all the soda pop that was on it LOL
i'm amazed at how good your O2 stayed with all that excercise---for "moderate" you are doing great :)
