The Power of Belly Breathing
According to Herbert Benson, an associate professor of medicine at Harvard medical School, stress causes several medical conditions that lead to 60 to 90 percent of visits to physicians.
Deep belly breathing can be a simple solution to minimize medical conditions and improve your overall health
Studies have shown belly breathing to lower blood pressure, improve poor digestion, increase blood circulation, decrease anxiety and stress and improve sleep patterns.
Hopefully you havent forgotten your diaphragmatic (belly) breathing.
Just in case, here is a friendly reminder.
As you inhale, you should see your belly rise.
Your belly should then fall as you breath out with your chest remaining still.
This helps provide the optimum amount of oxygen to your cells, blood and organs.
Chest breathing actually strains your lungs and heart to ensure A D E Q U A T E oxygen supply to the rest of your body,
which is why belly beathing is so important.
Dont underestimate the power of belly breathing.
Set time aside everyday to focus on your breathing and you may just start to feel better all around!
It does make you feel so good.
