. I've noticed that oddly enough, the advances in my abilities/lung health don't come in a steady increase the way I'd expect. I seem to plateau for a while, a month or so and then get carried away with things and miss my walks for a few days and when I come back to it I find my ability has increased and that the feeling of resistance in my breathing has decreased. Then I plateau there for a month or so again.
Since I work in hospital supply and return, I've come to think that whatever I got into my lungs was a particularly virulent strain of bug that got to me riding in on one of the returns from the hospital. I've never had any kind of ailment other than this that took more than 6 weeks to completely heal from
