yesterday we were told that a massive storm is approaching. its still out to sea. When it makes landfall tomorrow morning the wind gusts are around 230km/hour....Hurricane Sandy i think was about 170km/hr.
The storm is erratic n continually changing course. We are about 150feet from the sea n the scary bit the storm surge is expected to reach between 4 - 5.5 metres/around 15 feet, that will be just below our 2nd storey balcony if it does eventuate.
We have done all the essential preps esp water, food n flashlights. My biggest headache is accommodating my wifes family 6 adults n 9 grandkids under 12....if the storm really hits us hard their community will be flattened.
The sad thing is we have almost zero infrastucture or emergency services so we have to do this on our own.

i hope we hear from peter soon!
Peter lives in Cebu, and the projected path of that storm was right at his back door.
I read several articles and it was bad.
So keep the prayers going for Gwapo and his family and pray he is able to contact us soon.
I remember being so worried about hurricaine Sandy and FINALLY folks were able to let us know all was ok. So I am being positive and know Gwapo will contact us as soon as he can.

At the last hour the typhoon that has been constantly changing directions shifted and missed a direct hit.....lots of wind and rain but we are safe...must type this quickly as power is on n off constantly....
