Started on 24mg USA mix n tapered down to zero nicotine in 3 months. I will have a ''smoke'' sometimes with the morning coffee or a beer...
Do I feel better.......100% compared to cigs in fact my nose is so sensitive I feel ill walking past people smoking outside the mall etc etc

it will all work out ok for ya..it has for 1000s of un non smoker now..
hang in their...giving up your life for a poof of smoke is not worth it.
quit with anything other than the E-Cig then I would use it and
not look back.
Whatever works is your answer.
Willpower my aunt fanny....it's an addiction and it owns you. So
whatever you need to take back your power DO IT.
And save yourself a lot of grief.
it took me about 3 or 4 months to do the e-cig like the "patch program".
i 'stepped down" the nicotene each month until i did zero nicotene for a month & then i quit the e-cig.
to me it is a "stop smoking aid" not a substitute.
the dr told me it was safe, but you never can tell.
i have a freind that has smoked the e-cigs for 4 years now and she figures she is safer.
----personally i wanted to get rid of the habit AND the expense of the habit.
i had tried every way to quit & the e-cig was a godsend to me.
i was able to quit (at my pace) and i've never wanted to smoke again so it worked for me.
good luck to you!!! prayers are with you :)
After about five weeks of 'vaping', however, I started experiencing severe shortness of breath. My lungs felt "heavy" (that's the only way I can describe it), and breathing was much harder. On online forums I read that some people have reactions to one of the main ingredients of ecigs; there are two - propylene glycol (to produce the mist, like in smoke machines), and glycerine (to give the mist some 'body'. It looked like one of them might be the cause (although I'm not a person who is prone to allergies).
I then experimented by buying the main ingredients separately and combining them in varying ratios to see if I could find the right one that would work for me without giving me SOB. I gave up after about a month. Continuing my research in online forums at that point, I did find one other user in a forum whose mom had emphysema and had to stop using ecigs because she had the same experience. I was sorry to have to give up the ecigs. I did manage to quit cigarettes recently, but that's a whole other story. I just wanted to share my experience with you.
