Hi kberber, this has been brought up several times. I did try it for about 9 weeks and was so sob on it and the side effects on me were terrible. Had to get off it. Works great for some people so probably the best thing would be to test it out for yourself. Have heard if it does work for you it can really help. Was very disappointed myself.

i usually have to be admitted in the hospital 1 or 2 times a year,my last stay was jan.of 2011.i was started on daliresp in the hospital.it is a med. that is supposed to be a preventive.i havent been admitted since.im leary about saying that,only because when i do,and with the cold weather,well seems like i get sick then.please remember we have common symptoms,but no 1 med.will help everybody.mj.

I got a 7 day sample pack from my pulmonologist, did them for 5 days and threw the last 2 away. Side effects were just too intense for the benefit provided.

I've been on Daliresp since Nov of 2011. I love this new drug! Yes the side effects can be kinda tough, but if you can manage to deal with them, they seemed to go away after about 6-8 weeks. I did lose 26 lbs, but then stopped losing. I can honestly say that my breathing hasn't been this good in years, and I haven't had even a cold ever since. I was hospitalized twice in the months before I started the drug. If your doctor recommends this drug for you, it can be worth giving it a good try. Instead of using my nebulizer 3-4 times a day, I only use it 3-4 times a week! Love it!

I took it for a while and had severe anxiety and depression. So glad I no longer take it. Am sooooo much better now!

I have true emphysema with very little or no chronic bronchitis so I think it was just not the med for me. I did try twice to take it because my pulmy had felt that he had success with both types of COPD.

The 1st time I coughed so hard that my breathing was getting hard to manage because my rib cage was just so sore. So I stopped.

I know it is a good med and I really wanted to be successful with it so I tried it again and this time after the third day, the depression like I have never felt before came in a wave like a tsunami and at my hubbys request, I stopped it. :)) I was really giving him a lot of worry so all is well when I stopped. Iwent back to my usual lovable self.:)

The doctor can usuall give you samples for a 7 day trial and you should give the a try if you are convinced that you want to make it work for you. Please don't let what I say change your mind but if you try it and you have none of these side effects then you are better off as Sue said.

my new doctor just told me about it and suggested i check it out. from what i see it doesn't help people with emphy. hearing your feedback makes me think i've made the right decision in not trying it. i will see what the pulm says next month,but i don't think this is a med for me as i don't have the bronchitus either

Kberber, I have been using it for several months. Initially I thought it was giving me the shakes, but for months I have'nt had any issues. It seems to help, and I will continue to use it. -- Regards, Bill

Waz on it for a couple of months. Not impressed at all. Feel better not on it. My wife now lets me answer the phone, talk to people and showed me where she hid the guns.... LOL
But thats just me..... and unless you know me ya wouldn't understand.

I've been on it for almost a year and have had no hospital stays this year compared to two a year for the past 4 years. Everyone has mentioned side effects, I've been lucky and have had no side effects from day one. It seems to be living up to it's advertisements, am glad I tried it and am still taking it. Tim
