Dear Santa:

We want to start a Christmas List For Your Friends here at DS To Give You Plenty of Time To Get It Done. It is a selfish list but If you give us these things we will promise to help others.

For Xmas Would You Give Us:

New Stents for Our Airways

An Albuterol Inhaler that counts the puffs and

New medications that clears up bronchial inflammation and congestion with no side affects.

Availability to Obtain These Things for All that Need Them.

We also NEED lobes of lungs available to folks that need transplants, we DO need some now and possibly a few more by Xmas.

We are starting this list early because it could grow quit large and remember we have all been very good girls and boys.

This is a very good list. I would like to add portable oxygen concentrators that run on rechargeable batteries that are not too heavy to carry.

How about retractable oxygen tubing? Could never figure out why this can be done with dog leashes, but not our tubing!

I'm with you Joni. I even went so far as to buy one of those retractable electric power cord things and ran my tubing through it, but it did not work well.

Shirley, you are a good girl, and so cute. What a fun post. But, I probable will get a lummp of coal. Haha!

I hope Santa is good to you all this coming Christmas 2009.

Santa, please give us the new medications that clears the bronchial and congestion because the predninsone is brutal in causing bruises on me. I have to wear long sleeves because if I am on or just finished a round of pred.

It is bad enough that you have people giving you a sideways glance when you are on your 02 or puffing but when they spot the bruises, a whole different image comes to mind.

And also, I am on the same hunt as Carol with the portable, whould you add a little extra please there?

Well maybe you will be lucky in 6 mos and you get the present we are most hoping for. SOME kind of intervention that works and makes us stable at a certain point.
I know this is probably too much to ask for but this is you list Shirley, so we should let you have first choice.

Hi Breathes, Shirley did not mean anything negative by this post. And we are asking Santa for these things, not God. Blessings from God, we would ask in prayer. In this country good little girls and boys earn the good presents from Santa by behaving well and doing good deeds. Bad little boys and girls get lumps of coal. (Or, so is the legend) I personally have never gotten a lump o f coal yet. Anyway, this is a fun little post where our dear friend kyleesnan is asking for good things for all of us with respiratory illness.

Ev, Now I know why you are dancing. An automatic counter is a marvelous thing.
We are probably the easiest group for Santa to please because we don't ask for much. Or at least nothing frivolous.

Fourth: I personally could have really really used a nicotine annoymous in my area. Too bad there are none.

I'm going to start dancing too when I can get my hands on one of those inhalers, not on our approved list. That approved list of medications drives me crazy sometimes.

Sally, they have Nic meetings here in Portland, I bet it wouldn't be hard to start one down in your area. Might look online for tips.
