Yes, my chest X-ray was fine but they did a CT Scan to rule out pulmonary emboolism. That is when they found the nodules on my CT Scan - they are scattered and very tiny - they cannot even be picked up on a PET Scan since they are so small. I did get diagnosed with emphyesema from the CT Scan - he wants to do a repeat CT in September because of the Haze "ground glass" that showed up on the CT Scan. It is scattered and on both lungs. It could be caused by many things. The doctor just wants to find out what is causing the ground glass if it is not resolved in September.
Otherwise - I had no clue I had emphesema - I guess the emphysema does not show up on the chest X-Ray until it is severe.
Don't be worried if your under the care of a doctor and your doctor feels that everything is ok - they don't usually do a CT Scan unless there are reasons for it.
I am sure your doing fine.
Hugs, Julie
