I hope you have a good trip. Sending prayers your way .

i think if the airlines okayed you then you will be okay...they sure don't want any "mishaps" onboard if they can prevent it.
as someone mentioned they do only pressurize the cabin to around 8000ft.
i have o2 & when i go that high of altitude i feel a tightening in my chest.
if you start to feel that, just relax and do your PLB & you should get thru it.
i just thought i'd warn you cuz if you are used to a low elevation you may feel it a little in your chest, but if you are aware it can happen hopefully you won't panic and start stressing.
don't worry, they have plenty of 02 to take care of any emergencies; just relax and don't forget to breath ;)
Enjoy your flight!
I know it's scary to start hyperventilating . It happened to me a few times before I found out I needed 02 supplementation.
I was just taken off 02 after almost 4 years. We don't know why, but my sats are good again. Pulmy thinks it may be Rheumatoid Lung that has responded to medication.
But, i digress!
Pulmy suggested slow, deep breathing if I feel sketchy. Some may call it Yoga Breathing, or Mindfulness Breathing.
There is much on the 'net for Mindfulness Breathing. I think a site was posted a while back for this. Perhaps not Mindfulness, but for deep breathing.
I have my oximeter with me all the time. It is still scary. As much as i wanted to be off 02 and the discombobulations of the hose; it was my comfort and lifeline for almost 4 years.
You will do well, onward and upward!
Bon Voyage, and take care,
Linda In CA
