I do have an asthma component to my severe emphysema. Both have been diagnosed by numerous specialists and diagnostic tests over the years. The asthma preceded the emphysema symptoms by 20+ years.

I am just now getting over an episode that was brought on by an asthma problem.

This is a very hopeful article. I especially like the fact that even though the procedure was mock as being weird 10 years ago, they stuck with it and have learned how to significantly help people. I hope they can do that for COPD, too.
