Hi All,
I found out yesterday, that I'm approved for Medicaid!! Now, i can get my home health aide back, and start some physical therapy for my knees, hips and back.
I will always have transportation, and this will save me money, should i ever need to be hospitalized also.
so glad i got it!!! I have my sleep lab testing tonight, so have to be there at 9pm....Ooh la la...can't wait!! hahahaah!

When I got approved for SSDI last year, I didn't realize at the time that I would have a 2 year wait for medicare..............seems SSI gets medicaid right away....but NOT SSDI........they are hoping I will die first:(:(
I got about 18 more months to wait....and I will prolly be dead by then......ya just gotta love the "system" :(

Again, after 3 hours i woke up. They started me off with no oxygen, as a baseline, after an hour, my o2 sat was 80, so put me back on, and then she pumped me up to 3 liters.
She didn't have to do a treatment, which means she didn't have to put my bi pap machine on me. So, in essence,...that is a good thing, as it means i may not need that machine at night.
My goal now, is to get Respiratory Therapy thru my medicaid program, and work on that, so i can get off the oxygen. I'm hopeful to do that!!
i'M Doing all the other things the Dr told me.
SO, i'm tired..gotta sleep since i didn't sleep alot last night. Lots of wires, and have to go and wash the gook out of my hair, I look like a sight for sore eyes right now!! Cab driver probably thought i was some kind of monster, LOL!

Boo....I'm with ya on that sleep number bed.......I bet they cost a small fortune:(:( So glad the Medicaid kicked in and now ya can get some things taken care of!!!

Only thing is, the woman was supposed to come over to go and get me groceries, and i'm afraid she has forgotten. Hopefully she can go tommorrow, or i'll have to ask my cousin. I hate asking her, she has already done so much.
Time will tell, and i'll see if she shows up or calls me to reschedule.
I have food, don't worry. just need basics and my healthy fruits and veggies, and all of those othere things I go thru quickly.
Hope you all have a nice Friday evening. I'm going to cook a healthy dinner, and watch some mindless tv, play on the computer...

I have never had the sleep test they just put a Pulse-Oximetr on my finger one night and it recorded how low my o2 got sleeping. I don't think I could of taken all the wires!!
The waiting for the medicare for 2 years was hard. I was having to pay over $500 a month for insurance before that. I was so glad when it went into work.
