When will this insomnia end? I'm so tired, but i just couldn't "shut my mind off"!!

I'm going back to bed. Have to be up by 9am for an appointment at the house, but then I don't have to be anywhere until 230pm. So, guess it will be one of those, "sleep while you can", and then sleep some more later.

My sleep apnea Part 2 results came back. My settings were at 18, but they are going to go down to 11 !!! So, i'm getting better with that, but have to wait for the Resp.Therapist to come over to reset the settings, and they layed off one of their RT's, so the waiting list for an appointment is lengthy.

THink I'll call tomorrow, or "today"....and light a match under their butts, so i can sleep better soon!!!

Let's hope they show up soon. The inability to sleep plagues many of us, your misery is shared...

I'm having a lot of those sleepless nights myself lately.......I have learned to love late night "Frasier".................think its on about 4 hours here...........and its a comedy.............so I laugh a lot (meanwhile whining that I can't sleep)

i used to watch a program called "create" late at night that had cooking programs with no commercials....they cancelled that & now i spend 1/2 the night "flipping around" the channels & not settling on anything --- i guess lack of sleep comes with all the rest of this getting old "fun" lol

I am getting to the point where I am afraid to sleep at night. I have found If I do sleep good I wake up and can't breathe at all. So in the back of your mind you don't want to sleep so you don't and an attack. And these attack are very server. I know it must sound crazy no sleep and breathe or sleep and and you can't breathe

Awww DC....i want you to do both!! Sleep AND Breathe!! Do you have sleep apnea??? If so, are you on a machine at night?

I went to sleep, but couldn't stay put, so i basically haven't gone to bed yet, and i'm "DRINKING COFFEE"!!!!

Want a cup? I'm buying.....

When I woke at 3 this morning and couldn't get back to sleep, I thought of you, Boo and wondered if you were sleeping. I hate those nights, and they do seem to be happening more frequently. They screw up the whole day, don't they.

Alrighty!!!
The Oxygen place sent the Resp. Therapist over today, to re-adjust my settings on my bi pap machine.

So, i turned it on later, and took a nap with it on, and i haven't been wearing it at all.

OMG!!! I slept like a baby!!! mind you though, i did take a pain pill, and they kind of knock me out a bit, but it was great!!!

Could this be my answer to a good night's sleep FINALLY ??????

and my dear, if you have sleep apnea for lord sake wear your machine!!! we don't need to lose you in your sleep.

Thanks Jarca, & crew! I will try to use the machine, although i'm not used to it like I used to be.

When I stay at Val's...I sleep like a baby, with NO MACHINE...but when I'm home, and partly cause my bed SUCKS!!!!...I don't sleep well. Plus, Jackson the cat wants to party all night, starting at 3am sometimes, so I end up waking up...can't get back to sleep, and get up and make coffee. As I've posted b4, I go back to bed aroudn 630-7am, but I would still like to sleep straight thru, like I do here at Val's.

is there a difference in altitude at val's?
my pulm spec told me for every 1000 ft i go up, to put my O2 up 1 liter---interesting little info for those that might be traveling if summer EVER gets here. (cool & gloomy again today LOL)

Boo, my heart goes out to you, I could lay in bed all night and sleep only minutes. And when I do fall asleep it is generally for no more than 4 or 5 hours. I hope your insomnia passes soon so you can get that much needed restful sleep. -- Take care, Bill

Imarighter: Awww, ya thought of me? Yeah, I get up at all hours of the early morning some days.

Jarca: Nope, same altitude, I think it just may be she has a better bed than I do, LOL!! Mine is cheap, and Its not as comfy. Jackson can't have his own room, and closed up..cause he will claw at the door/carpet, whatever he can get his "paws on" . He's a lovey boy, and loves to sleep with Mommy, but also loves to get up at 3am, and tell me its playtime too! hahah!

FLHamm: Thanks hon, hope that you are able to sleep a bit better...i'm back home tonight, so we'll see with the new settings how I do.
