I am a victim of the flu and I did get my annual flu shot. It started 3 weeks ago with body aches and joint pain and progressed each day to low grade fevers, stuffy nose and a soar throat and eventually found its way into my lungs a couple of days ago which is what I am experiencing now. The fevers come on at night and seem to go away from mid day til dinner time then they come roaring back and I start the hot/cold drill along with the sweating, thinking once you break the fever and all of that sweat you wake up in is a sure sign of the flu being broken, negative, it comes roaring back a coupe of hours later with the same 100 degree fever and this cycle has been repeating itself going on three weeks. I've been doing the duo-Nebs, taken Musinex, but that came to a halt since it doesn't do me any good and debating whether I start the Prednisone. My breathing is quite impaired since it's been in my chest and wondering if I should go to the ER? Anyone else going through the flu?
