I do have muscle aches. That is probably the most prevalent symptom I have. It waxes and wanes. I have found that acupuncture helps me greatly every other week with ibuprofen in between to keep the pain at bay. Of course it is different for each of us, but that helps me the most personally! Thanks...glad I'm not the only one,I think! K level is on the edge but I am told "ok" I already take vit D so....guess just another chink in the armor...has the infusion helped ,at all?

not that i have noticed.....when i am having lots of muscle cramps i try to eat more bananas...not sure if it helps, but it cant hurt!

I used to have horrible muscle cramps. They checked my potassium and it was almost always low. My family doctor didn't consider it low enough to put me on potassium supplements, but when my cardiologist saw my levels, he put me on them because he said that the low levels could cause the tachycardia to get worse. I've not had severe muscles cramps for months since I've been taking the potassium. Definitely have your doctor check your levels. I thought that if I felt that mine were low, I could just buy potassium supplements over the counter myself. They told me that doing that is dangerous. Eating bananas did help me before I was on the potassium supplements. My grandfather also eats bananas when he has cramps and it helps him. :)

I get muscle cramps---ouch they hurt sooo bad. I get them in my calves, and hands mostly. My hands cramp up so badly, and so painful. Years ago I was low on potassium , and hospitalized , perhaps that is a problem again. I will also add the supplements.

When I first became ill with CFS and fibromyalgia, the muscle pain arrived. My potassium levels became severely low last year. After no change in my potassium levels with potassium tablets and increase potassium rich foods, it was discovered that I had a malabsorption syndrome that does not allow my system to absorb the potassium. I have been on IV potassium treatments since then. My levels are now staying normal. However, the muscle cramping pain did not improve at all. Then I would notice that when my fibromyalgia and CFS are in a flare up, the muscle pain is worse. So, I am thinking that my muscle pain is more to do with the fibro and CFS. I know it is very uncomfortable. I hope you will be able to find relief.

I now have occasional muscle cramps. They were much more frequent prior to my CVID diagnosis when GI docs had me on omeperzole because they insisted I had acid reflux. That totally messed with my GI absorption and electrolytes... Through this I did learn that Gatorade/powerade helps alleviate the cramping immensely for me. I buy the powder and drink a glass or two very concentrated at the first feeling of cramping and this helps.
