Common Variable Immunodeficiency Support Group

Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is a group of 20-30 primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs) which have a common set of symptoms but with different underlying causes. CVID's underlying causes are different, but the result of these are that the body doesn't produce sufficient antibodies in response to exposure to pathogens.

It truly is encouraging to know that scientists are actively looking for ways to combat this disease and to improve the quality of life of those who suffer with it. A lot is going on in immunology right now. There is reason to hope.

This is so COOL, so HUGE, so INCREDIBLE. Wow. Thanks for sharing. Up until the last 6 months I have not experienced any respiratory issues. All of my problems are gastro intestinal, and autoimmune disorders (I now have been diagnosed with 5 ). Within the last couple of months things have begun to change.

It is exciting to learn that some real research is taking place. It may be too late for some of us, but it is thrilling to know that things are happening. Maybe sometime soon we will hear of progress being made in all aspects of CVID.
