Same old question. Do they normally sell or offer transcripts of the keynote speakers? I recall one of the major events a limited number of people were able to tune into the meeting live via the Internet. It's like torture to hear about these great events and not be able to attend. I am hoping that some day I'll see Texas pop up on a schedule.

No I've never heard if a transcript from a local education event., but I have two suggestions?????
1. The national conference is in Phoenix about a 14 hours drive. It is by far the best event every two years. There are scholarships for your hotel room and the cost of the conference, include meals and galas is $195 for a family of four.
2. I'd be willing to bet that if you contact Kathy Antilla, the director of volunteers and educational director at the IDF, if you wanted to take the lead and help coordinate it, I'd think she would help you.

Hey, Fezzy. Sorry for the late reply. I did go to the event and overall I'm glad I did. I really liked Dr Kobayashi. The key thing I got from his talks were: doctors are moving towards sub-q vs. IVIG and that we should also be aware of the germs/diseases that pets can carry (like staph). He was a very good speaker and gave a basic overview. For people new to CVID, I would recommend attending these patient education events. Dr. Allen geared his talk towards people that have more extensive medical knowledge than me (and most of the people in the room). I didn't get a lot out of his discussion. The discussion about GI issues was also very good. I think it just raised awareness to everyone that if you aren't seeing IGG improvements from therapy, that there may be GI issues that need to be investigated.
Finally, the IDF spokesperson did a good job of promoting advocacy and getting involved. She talked about current legislative initiatives and the issues relating to the moving our meds to higher tier levels and passing more cost on to us.

There were also vendors there from the biotech companies and home health services. It was also a great opportunity to just meet people with our illness and compare notes.
