Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is a group of 20-30 primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs) which have a common set of symptoms but with different underlying causes. CVID's underlying causes are different, but the result of these are that the body doesn't produce sufficient antibodies in response to exposure to pathogens.
I love to get a massage but I have been worried about getting them since starting IVIG. I have had severe headaches after the infusion and worry about the massage somehow making things worse. I know massage is suppose to help the immune system but they always say to drink plenty of fluids after the massage to flush out the toxins they released.
So my question. When do people get massages who are on IVIG. Do you get them just before your infusion, just after or in the middle. Does it seem to make a difference? Any insight is helpful.

also my lymph nodes seem to swell towards the end of the infusion cycle (unless i have picked something up and i am sick) so her manual commpression seems to move the toxians (i guess cant think of a better word here) get moved out...i hyrate well before and esp after to cleanse my body...
