My immuno just checked mine last week. It was 913. He said he wanted it between 1000 and 1200, but he was very pleased that it was up to 913. He didn't check my subclasses. My only low subclass before treatment was IgG1 and it was almost non-existent. My immuno isn't increasing my dose with it being 913 and that's fine by me. I was at 420 before treatment. I hope you feel better soon!

Also, that rib pain could be Chostochondritis. I have it and it's painful as all hell.

It really depends on the person. Some people do really well with levels at 600 while some people need much higher levels. I would take into consideration your number of infections, pain, fatigue and then look at your numbers. I didn't do well with levels in the 900's and then i was over 1000 for years and did great. Then with levels at 1300 I started getting infections again, so I asked for a dose increase, which worked well :)

Like Holly said, it could be costochondritis. I have it too often for my liking and it is horribly painful. My chest is always sore and has been for years. I take Celebrex everyday and it helps. I've also had pain there from pleurisy and it is worse than costochondritis. I had it when I was in the hospital for an asthma exacerbation and low O2. They had difficulty controlling the pain because my O2 was too low to allow me to have strong pain medicine. Thankfully as soon as my O2 came up, they were able to give me morphine. It feels like a sharp pain in between your ribs every time you breathe in, cough or move. I hope they determine the cause and are able to get you some relief soon.

My immuno just wants my levels higher and for me to stop having regular infections and to balance out my lows so I stay even between infusions. My last blood work was at 1000 and that is when he upped my dose from 10g weekly to 15g weekly. I am holding better but just hit a bit of a run with infections. I get my quarterly blood work done in a couple weeks.

Also, at a patient IDF meeting, one of the doctors from National Jewish talked about it being important to get levels up in areas around 1600 for optimal protection. - Zen

My level goal is around 1000. When I was diog. the igg was 28.

Holy Cow - 28 !!! I was 500 - but sick a lot and always in pain.

I have had costochondritis - I have felt that more just off center, in the left side of my lower chest - a little startling to get that zing of pain on a bad movement or that bruised, beat up feeling...from doing nothing to bring it on ! The pain I get now is sorta dull, intermittent, and on the sides and just beneath my ribcage, more right than left - pretty much right where they did the ultrasound.

I am on day 4 of antibiotics for bronchitis - sure would be nice if they kicked in - feel terribly hung over (nope, no alcohol, LOL) and run over by a truck this morning. How can I be so sore for doing nothing ? Couch day...

My doctor wants mine grater then 1000 and just how much grater, I think depends on my clinical picture at that time. ( infections, fatigue, ect..)

I like that NJ is saying 1600, as I think I'm going to be one of those who will need to be at the high end. It makes sense to get them as high as possible.

My last igg level was 858. I had my blood drawn before last infusion and this will be the first igg level since going from 4 to 3 weeks. But I have sinus infection, flu (thank God for tamiflu and me realizing in time to start taking it!)

I am going to give IVIG at 3 weeks for a few more times and if things don't seem a bit better, I may switch to subq.

I don't know anything about the rib pain, although I had it when I had pneumonia.
