yeah, I'll fill everyone in on the detads when its over. For some strange reason when she was interviewing me, she asked "where in the world would you like to go on vacation, if you could have your choice?" Wonder why she asked me that. Well I thought about it and came up with "Israel". Maybe they are gonna have a drawing for a vacation, Gawd, would that be great! Tomorrow is infusion day. Whoopdeedoo.

Yeah Pcon: Sorta weird. God I wouldn't know what it was like to have a vacation. I never leave this friggin house. Just the fact I get to "go out" to a CVIDS conference brings me great joy. And I get paid too! I can buy groceries! Yay. I'm really feeling sorry for myself in the finances department. I am so sick and tired of not having money. I want to say screw it and f@ck these friggin IV's and get a job where I can at least have money to even go to a friggin movie. Life dealt me a bum set of cards. Oh well. Maybe I'll win a vacation. One can dream.

Well I had my infusion today, and sure enough I HAD A PANIC ATTACK FOR THE THIRD TIME IN A ROW. My chest got tight, felt like I was going to die, felt like I was in hell and wanted to die. It has to be some sort of anxiety condition. I was SO EMBARRASSED!!!! The doctor probably was "rolling his eyes" thinking what a nut case. Well I have had it. I cannot handle this stress anymore. Not so much the cvids, but everything else in my life, lifestyle due to cvids, etc. Called my psychiatrist, he called in a prescription for resperdal. I took one tonight and I feel a little better. I am crazy. I am so overwhelmed by problems. My brain is spinning so fast trying to solve unsolveble problems. I NEED DRUGS. I feel like such a loser. But the pain is so bad. I WOULD RATHER HAVE PHYSICAL PAIN THAN EMOTIONAL PAIN. I just cannot have another panic attack in that office again. I am worn out. Deb

so sorry send me a message with your number if you need to talk i have free long distance so we can talk as long as you need sometimes just talking to someone thats been there helps. i have my infusion tomorrow at 10 am so i will be out of commisson for a few hrs.....

I wish you would not judge yourself harshly over an anxiety disorder or any other disorder.

I cannot tell you how common anxiety and other disorders are in the US. Most of thepeople I know on DS have anxiety and trauma. Most people who have had a lot of trauma have PTSD. If you have a lot of rapid thinking, you could have bipolar. That is a misserable disorder. It is treatable too.

I don't think there is anything to be ashamed about when we need treatment for anything. It's no different than needing treatment for asthma or CVID. I doubt that doc thought you were nuts. I'll bet, he was grateful that it was him sitting there suffering so much.

I think there are a lot more sensitive people out there in the medical world than there ever was in the past. It's been my experience in the past that there is more compassion, knowledge and experience.

If you look in the phone book, you will see a very long list of therapists. That means these problems are well known and understood It also suggests there a awful lot of people in need of help.

Anxiety is super common.

I'm sorry you went through so much.
I hate panic attacks and anxiety.
I too, have both problems.
I have meds for them too.

If you have anti-anxiety medications, it might be helpful to take some of that medication before going in for infusion.

I'm so glad you called your doc and told him of your crisis.
I'm glad he ordered something that will likely slow down fast thinking and high distress. The med he gave you often helps with those things.

I think it's just wonderful that you advocated for yourself by calling your doc.
