my heart rate is especially high when i'm in pain and fever, and infection - like lately. i wouldn't be surprised that ivig can have this affect too... i think it is making my blood pressure go up too, lately. i used to have low blood pressure, lately it's all over the place.

i used to have low blood pressure now i am on blood pressure meds also my heart rate is always high i think it is when i am sick it goes up and my asthma meds raise it also...but i do know when i am sick my bp and heart rate go up...i also have MVP...but i have known about that for yrs and always had low bp so i dont think that is the cause...my doc doesnt seem concerned...so i dont worry about it...he has said before he thinks it is due to my not feeling good...he has done all the heart tests and found nothing wrong...

Thank you hypnosis4 and pconville. I feel better knowing that you have also experienced high heart rate. So, I'll just not worry about it but keep track of any other changes. It just seems odd that I can be totally relaxed and my heart rate is 106. Thank you for your advice.

I was just into the my gp last week and she noted my heart rate was fast .. interesting this was the topic of dicussion today . I have noticed a lotof palpitations , or feels like my chest is fluttering. Missionkd, about 1 year ago I had severe chest pain. It felt like cardiac pain. In the ER I did feel better after they gave me Nitro spray. The ER Dr said I could have a cardiac issue or it could be spasms of the esophagus. Well, sure enough, as I went thru tests I was diagnosed with barretts esophagus. It does cause chest pain just like a heart attack. I take Nitro under the tongue, the same as a heart patient, and it relaxes the esophagus pain.
