Common Variable Immunodeficiency Support Group

Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is a group of 20-30 primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs) which have a common set of symptoms but with different underlying causes. CVID's underlying causes are different, but the result of these are that the body doesn't produce sufficient antibodies in response to exposure to pathogens.

I guess this is actually not a bad thing. I have been on SubQ since Feb and I am on antibiotics for the second time since Feb. Comparatively this is wonderful. I was on antibiotics at least 9 times last year alone so I guess things are working. I do hate being sick though!

I hope you feel better soon. Even though it's awesome to get sick less often, it's no fun to be sick ever! Let us know how you are doing.

im so sorry you are sick. I'm having a yuck day too. can't put my finger on what it is. just feel bad all over. maybe it's the weather.

I'm happy you are doing better due to infusions. it's always great for us newbies to hear positive stories. keep us updated on how you are doing.

I think when you have had tons of infections prior to getting your DX and then treatment, every time you get sick, even if it is very rare due to plasma therapy, it just brings back those old memories, and kind of a feeling of .."Oh, no...I'm getting sick again...is this a one time thing, or are Infusions not working anymore?"

It sounds like infusions are really working for you though, and that you are actually getting a bug every now and then, just like a "normal" person! Imagine that :)

To be fair I totally replied here a Get Well and I hope you feel better :) I think cyber ate my get well. Sometimes my phone is a pain.

Anyway please feel better soon.. Rest Chicken soup and yada You know the run down.
