Common Variable Immunodeficiency Support Group
Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is a group of 20-30 primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs) which have a common set of symptoms but with different underlying causes. CVID's underlying causes are different, but the result of these are that the body doesn't produce sufficient antibodies in response to exposure to pathogens.
Is anyone getting recurring eye infections? I used to get eye infections almost every time I had a sinus infection. Now that my sinuses are improved, I'm just getting eye infections. Tips?

my daughter has been getting bad ones the last yr havent figured out why i used to get a lot then they settled down...i think when we get an infection it just takes a long time to get over it sometimes and it keeps reoccurring then settles down that has been my experience and my daughter's she has been going to a MD eye doctor.

Thanks, pcon. Is there a good med you've been successful with? They put me on tobramyacin and it helped me within a day.

i am not sure what the name was, but it was a steroid anti b eye drop that has worked for her...

my eye "infections" are caused by Behcets disease, so after all these years I find out they are not infections, but inflammation from my body attacking my blood vessels. If the antibiotics/antivirals do not help and the steroids do, you may need to consider vasculitis as a cause.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
