Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is a group of 20-30 primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs) which have a common set of symptoms but with different underlying causes. CVID's underlying causes are different, but the result of these are that the body doesn't produce sufficient antibodies in response to exposure to pathogens.
Hi All, Yesterday afternoon my throat got very scratchy and felt a bit clogged as my voice started to go. (I sound horrible!) This morning, and again this evening I coughed up a bunch of stuff from my lungs that were clear earlier this week. It seems as though I have bronchitis that came on fast and out of the blue. My husband said that I haven't sounded like this since I started on IVIG about 6 months ago! The funny thing is that I feel ok even tho my peak flow is a bit down. It s just that the cough sucks. I'm calling my regular doctor tomorrow as it is Sunday and my other docs are closed. I used to get a cold and then pneumonia after about 3 days. I am just wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

i keep narcotic cough syrup on hand at all times...i have a constant cough that never fully goes away....

I just posted on another line that the very same thing happened to me two weeks ago. I was at a meeting and got a sore throat out of know where at 2:30 and had full on bronchitis by 4. So fast. Get your drugs so you don't get pneumonia. HUGS!!!

Found out Sunday that it was Bronchitis and got the drugs!Not sure how it is today as I just woke up but yesterday seemed better:) thanks!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
