Common Variable Immunodeficiency Support Group
Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is a group of 20-30 primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs) which have a common set of symptoms but with different underlying causes. CVID's underlying causes are different, but the result of these are that the body doesn't produce sufficient antibodies in response to exposure to pathogens.
Yesterday I had an appointment with my primary care provider (the nurse practitioner who dug and dug until she found the CVID). This is the second appointment since I started infusions in February. She walked in the exam room and said "Stacey, I have never seen you look so healthy!". That is the best compliment I have ever received.

Looking healthy is fantastic, and a dedicated Nurse Practitioner that acts as an advocate and did not give up on you is just great.

my name is deb. please keep us updated on how you are doing. I'm going for my 2nd infusion in the next couple of weeks. it's nice to hear how others do.
