Common Variable Immunodeficiency Support Group
Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is a group of 20-30 primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs) which have a common set of symptoms but with different underlying causes. CVID's underlying causes are different, but the result of these are that the body doesn't produce sufficient antibodies in response to exposure to pathogens.
It's rainy & I feel like I got run over by a truck. ;-) Joint aches, stomach cramped, chest heavy & mucousy, awake most of the night...which means this morning I am pumping coffee and reading about CVID.

Just thought it summed things up well - a nice overview of CVID. I find it interesting how it mentions you can be battling it for years before it becomes a huge issue. I had ear infections a lot as a child, some gastritis. In my teens/university days I battled bronchitis a lot. I remember being too anemic to give blood a couple of times...had the IBS diagnosis, etc.
Sometimes you read something & it just all comes together ! Kind of an 'aha' moment.
