Hey, so I had had a few conversations started recently so I figured I would follow up to let you guys know what happened. I went on my trip. I did have a few run ins with security. I got put through x-ray, patted down, and they ran swabs on my hands. Not sure why that was all necessary, but I made it where I was going and made it back home so it was all good. I also had my first IVIG infusion. I have been on SubQ for 7 months and recently switched. My IVIG was done on Friday and I experienced a lot of bumps in the road, and a lot of reactions and ended up in the hospital so am still trying to recover right now. I am finally keeping down some food, can walk around a bit, fevers are more stable, and I can open my eyes so at least there is some progress. I will travel back to my immunologist this coming Monday for a follow up and we will be discussing how were going to change the game plan to get me stabilized on these infusions. So, that has been my week! Not quite what I planned, but we often have to adapt our plans with this little monster. I hope y'all are doing wonderfully. Thanks to those of you who sent me such great info on airports and travel, and the infusion changes that have been going on! You're amazing.
