Common Variable Immunodeficiency Support Group
Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is a group of 20-30 primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs) which have a common set of symptoms but with different underlying causes. CVID's underlying causes are different, but the result of these are that the body doesn't produce sufficient antibodies in response to exposure to pathogens.
He said that any exercise would work. I tried it and it worked well, the problem was that I got sick and got out of the habit, so I need to start up again.
I have always exercised ... even when I hurt ... and even when I was fatigued (prior to diagnosis). I am still exercising now after having been diagnosed a little over a year ago. The only thing that's really changed is that my joints hurt and I find the treadmill to be more torturous. But, I persevere!!
Once, many years ago, I hired a personal trainer and worked out diligently for many months and you know what? I NEVER FELT GOOD. People always say "oh you'll feel so much better". It never happened for me. I never felt better physically nor did it give me any energy...it just sucked. Needless to say I never worked out again lol
I rest a day or two after my IVIG before I exercise. Dehydration is the biggest concern after IVIG. But I think that whatever you can do to keep your body limber and strong is beneficial along with a good diet of lots of fruit and vegetables. Blessings
So, I don't exercise. I am planning on going on a diet starting the new year and working out with the WII .
