A few months ago, I came out to my mom and sister about not being straight officially(though I knew a few years ago first year in college). Sis took it well, mom was pretty much silent. Mom later gave me glares, disgusted looks and snide comments like, "that's just sick. Why can't my daughter be normal? What do you think people will say when the news gets back to me?"
Although those hurt and cut into me, I am fortunate to have supportive friends, so I do have a bit of support there. However, I'd like to somehow move past this. How can I deal with that harassment? Should I refer her to the PFLAG? Buy her a book about having LGBTQ relatives so she can read and learn to understand? Or should I further talk or write her a letter explaining I didn't want to be like this in life, but in order to be happy I have to be myself?
If anyone's dealt with something similar, your comments and advice would be appreciated. :)

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
